Isaiah was a great prophet, a man who declared God's word to hte people. Isaiah was in the Temple when God spoke to him for the first time. Smoke filled the room. The walls began to shake. In his vision, Isaiah saw angels. They sang, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord."

Isaiah groaned. "I am dirty from doing wrong. I am not good enough to hear the Lord's words." But in Isaiah's vision, an angel flew down and made the prophet's lips clean with a hot coal. Then God spoke. "Whom can I send? Who will go and tell the people?" Isaiah answered, "Here I am, Lord. Send me!"
