Before Samson was born, an angel told his parents, "Your son will protect Israel. He must never cut his hair. It will be a sign of God's power in him."

    Samson grew up to be a very strong man. Easily, he killed hundreds of Israel's enemies, the Philistines. No matter how hte Philistines tried, they could not capture Samson. But then Samson met evil Delilah. Pretending to love Samson, she asked him about his great strength. At last, Samson told her. Delilah betrayed him tot he Philistines, who came and cut off his hair. Because Samson had not guarded the power of God in his heart, he lost his great strength.
