Why did Mary Magdalene go the Jesus' tomb?
Jesus died. Soldiers took His body off the cross and friends quickly placed it in a tomb cut into a rocky hillside. When the Sabbath began at sundown, all work stopped.
Early on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and some other women carried spices to place on Jesus' body. they worried about the large rock that blocked the door of the tomb. How would they ever move it by themselves?
When the women reached the tomb, they stared in amazement. The rock had already been removed. The tomb was empty. Jesus was not there!
